Your trades log themselves.
A small read-only file on your MT4, MT5, cTrader or NinjaTrader 8 chart sends each closed trade to Dusk within seconds. Nothing to type, nothing to export.
Dusk Analyst is a web-based trading journal that auto-syncs closed trades from MT4, MT5, cTrader and NinjaTrader 8. An EA, cBot or add-on runs in your own terminal, so you never share your investor password. Free is $0 forever for 2 accounts; Pro is $25/month.
Free needs no card. Pro is free for your first 5 trading days.
Quick answers
Free is $0 forever: unlimited trades, 2 accounts, manual entry, CSV import and weekly reports, with no card. Pro is $25/month and adds auto-sync from MT4, MT5, cTrader and NinjaTrader 8, unlimited accounts, monthly reports, AI insights and export. Your first 5 trading days of Pro are free, with no card.
No. The Free plan has no limit on how many trades you log or import. It covers 2 accounts at $0 with no time limit.
No. Dusk Analyst never asks for your broker login or investor password. A read-only EA (MT4, MT5), cBot (cTrader) or add-on (NinjaTrader) in your own terminal sends closed trades, so nothing logs in to your account from our servers.
Not for the journal: it runs in your browser on any device. Auto-sync adds one small read-only file to your own MT4, MT5, cTrader or NinjaTrader terminal.
One small file on your chart, set up once. Every trade after that logs itself.
It’s easy to know the rules when you’re planning a trade. The harder part is following them when the market moves against you. Here’s what gets in the way, and what we built for each one.
A small read-only file on your MT4, MT5, cTrader or NinjaTrader 8 chart sends each closed trade to Dusk within seconds. Nothing to type, nothing to export.
Tag a trade once (breakout, London open, revenge…) and your weekly and monthly reports show trades, win rate and average P&L for every tag.
| Tag | Trades | Win rate | Avg P&L |
|---|---|---|---|
| Breakout | 14 | 64% | +$131 |
| London open | 9 | 56% | +$102 |
| Pullback | 11 | 45% | +$37 |
| Revenge | 7 | 14% | −$160 |
Revenge trades win 1 in 7 and cost $160 each on average.
Write your plan as a checklist. Dusk shows which trades broke it and what they cost, and Dusk Quant points out the pattern before it becomes a habit.
Dusk QuantCommission and swap come off every trade, and gold, indices and forex are valued from lots the way your broker does it.
Dusk never asks for your broker or investor password, and nothing logs into your account from our servers. The EA, cBot or NinjaTrader add-on can’t place, change or close a trade. How it works.

Import MT4 and MT5 reports, cTrader, TradingView, CSV and Excel. If we don’t recognise your file, we ask one simple question per column, or you send it and we import it for you.
Sign up, pick MT4, MT5, cTrader or NinjaTrader 8, and get your file and a per-account key.
Tools, Options, Expert tab: tick Allow WebRequest and paste one address.
One file onto any chart, paste your key, press OK. Every close syncs itself.
A trading plan is only useful if you can learn from how you follow it. Record what you planned, what you did, what happened, and why. Then use your history to find patterns, reinforce what works, and improve what doesn’t.
Dusk does the two steps most traders skip: Record and Review.
Write your rules and setups as a checklist before the session starts.
Done for you by DuskYour journal isn’t a logbook, it’s a dataset. Dusk Quant reads your actual trade history and answers the questions that move your edge.
Your data is never sold and never used to train anyone’s model.
Dusk QuantWe integrate platforms, not brokers. If your broker runs MT4, MT5, cTrader or NinjaTrader 8, your journal fills itself in. Anything else imports from a file. We checked 365 brokers and prop firms one by one in 2026.

Any broker running MT4, MT5, cTrader or NinjaTrader 8 works with Dusk Analyst, which covers most retail forex and CFD brokers. Our 2026 audit checked 365 brokers and prop firms one by one against their own sites; the table on this page shows exactly which platforms each supports. Setup takes about two minutes per account: create the account, grab a per-account API key, and drop in the EA, cBot or NinjaTrader add-on. Terminal auto-sync (MT4, MT5, cTrader, NinjaTrader) is a Pro feature; Free covers manual entry and CSV import. There is no per-broker integration code, and platforms not yet listed still work through CSV import or manual entry.
Only for live auto-sync: the EA, cBot or NinjaTrader add-on pushes a trade the moment it closes, so the terminal must be running at that moment. If it was off, the EA catches up on its next run, so no trades are lost to downtime. Manual entry and CSV import work without the terminal at all on the Free plan. Setup takes about two minutes - create the account, drop the EA, cBot or NinjaTrader add-on onto a chart, and give it the per-account API key. After that, every closed trade logs itself: entry, exit, lot size and P&L.
Yes. Trades sync over HTTPS with a per-account API key, and the journal never sees your broker password or login credentials. Only closed trades and the account nickname leave the terminal - the EA, cBot and NinjaTrader add-on never place orders, change charts, or touch indicators. Data is stored on Cloudflare, identity is handled by Auth0, billing by Stripe, and the AI behind the insight answers comes from a third-party AI provider. The full policy is on the Terms and Privacy page.
Yes, it is built for them. Demo, live and funded accounts run side by side in the same vault, each with its own starting balance and API key, so performance compares cleanly across evaluations. On MT4, MT5, cTrader or NinjaTrader 8, auto-sync works like any other account: the read-only EA, cBot or add-on pushes every closed trade and never places orders, so it falls outside the order-copying rules most prop firms enforce. Free covers two accounts with manual entry and CSV import; Pro adds auto-sync (MT4, MT5, cTrader, NinjaTrader), unlimited accounts, AI insights and reports. Tracked prop firms include FTMO, FundedNext, The5ers, Funding Pips, MyFundedFX, Smart Prop Trader and The Funded Trader.
Yes. There are no setup fees and no lock-in, and you cancel from Billing in the app. On a paid plan, cancelling stops future billing and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling during the free period ends it straight away, with nothing charged. Either way the account drops back to the Free tier, which keeps working forever at $0, and your trading history stays readable in the app; nothing is deleted until you choose to remove the account. Exporting your data (every trade, tag and note) is a Pro feature, so export before your Pro period ends if you want a copy.
No. The EA is read-only: it reads the closed-trade history and sends it over HTTPS, and never places orders, changes charts, or touches indicators. It runs on its own chart window, following the usual one-EA-per-chart convention, so it sits alongside everything else. The cBot works the same way. Each account gets its own API key, so trades land in the correct vault. The EA is a single .mq4 or .mq5 file with no external dependencies, the cBot is a single .cs file for cTrader, and the NinjaTrader add-on is one NinjaScript zip.
Because the EA is read-only, it falls outside the order-copying rules most prop firms enforce: it records closed trades and places nothing. A small number of firms restrict any external software, so check your firm's policy if you are unsure. The vault works with every firm running MT4, MT5, cTrader or NinjaTrader 8 - we verified 365 brokers and prop firms against their own sites in 2026. Demo, live and funded accounts run side by side with their own balances and API keys. If a firm disallows external tools, CSV import and manual entry remain available.
No. Your trading data is never sold. It is shared only with the processors needed to run the service: hosting and storage (Cloudflare), identity (Auth0), billing (Stripe), and the AI behind the insight answers (a third-party AI provider). Trades sync over HTTPS with a per-account API key, and the journal never sees your broker password or credentials. There is no advertising on the platform, so the data is never used for ad targeting. Pro accounts can export everything, and deleting the account removes the records.
Yes, on Pro. Pro includes full export of every trade, tag and note; the Free plan does not include data export, but your history stays readable in the app for as long as you keep the account. Export covers the fields you actually journaled - entry, exit, P&L, tags, notes and screenshots - in a format you can keep, and the download is immediate. There is no lock-in: export while on Pro, cancel in one click, and the Free tier keeps working at $0 if you want to stay without paying. Data is stored on Cloudflare and only shared with the processors needed to run the service.
Yes. The free tier costs $0 forever and includes two accounts, manual trade entry and CSV import - enough to journal a live account properly, with win rate, P&L and equity curve all calculated for you. There is no credit card required to start. Pro ($25/month flat) adds unlimited accounts, MT4/MT5/cTrader/NinjaTrader auto-sync, AI insights on your trading (1,000 trade-analyses a month), monthly reports and full export, and every new account gets Pro free for 5 trading days with no card. The pricing is deliberately simple: one plan, one price, no per-feature upsells.
Yes, and it needs no card. Every new Dusk Analyst account gets Pro free for 5 trading days from sign-up: auto-sync from MT4, MT5, cTrader and NinjaTrader 8, AI Insights with 1,000 credits, monthly reports and unlimited accounts. After that Pro is $25/month, and you can cancel anytime from Billing in the app. If you skip it, the account moves to Free with every trade kept.
Yes - CSV import is available on every plan, including free. If you've been tracking trades in a spreadsheet, broker export or another journal, export the CSV from wherever it lives and import it into Dusk Analyst; the journal matches it against your accounts and keeps your history continuous. Import is also the fallback for platforms that don't run MT4, MT5, cTrader or NinjaTrader 8. For MT4/MT5/cTrader/NinjaTrader terminals, Pro auto-syncs going forward and the EA backfills any trades your terminal missed while it was off. Any platform that exports a CSV of your trade history works. Dusk Analyst recognises TradingView, Tradovate, cTrader, MT4 and MT5 exports on sight; for anything else you map your columns once and that parser is saved for next time. Comma, semicolon and tab files are all handled, day-first and month-first dates are detected from the file itself, and any row that cannot be read is listed for you rather than dropped quietly.
Pro includes 1,000 AI trade-analyses every month. One credit covers one trade, so asking a question about a 40-trade week costs 40 credits and you can keep asking. The allowance resets on the 1st of each month and the counter sits in the top bar of the app, so you always know where you stand. Narrowing a question to one account or a shorter date range makes the same allowance go much further. Free accounts get a small number of AI credits to try AI Insights, alongside the full journal, analytics and weekly reports, and the free Pro week (5 trading days, no card) includes the full monthly allowance.
